You know, maybe they could have tried to fix Torghast, the thing they sold with the expansion, and put some decent cosmetic rewards in it. With all the effort they had to put into tuning a scaled version of MT, they could have just made something from scratch that we haven't already completed years ago. Comment by Ernteschnitzel on T05:28:03-06:00 Why are people complaining about mage tower difficulty when it isn't even out yet lolīecause we actually tested it and 0 changes were done. Why does a mop trinket needs to be adjusted? Aren't we going to be scaled to legion level and ilvl? Comment by dlbert2000 on T04:52:50-06:00 Comment by arxemoros on T04:16:44-06:00įk you Blizzard. I suspect some of these challenges will still be easier than originals for some and harder than originals for others almost purely based on class changes that make things better or worse, and loss of legion legendaries that were available first time. I think it's a legit concern for certain classes who don't have skills/tools to make up for it. Chaos Nova also got nerfed massively.Īlso I just doubled checked and Frostbolts took like 10% of my HP back then: Īnd believe me, I tested the mage tower and I did the original challenges the first week they were available in 7.2 Comment by mysticalos on T04:01:26-06:00īut back then you had access to self heal legendaries and legendaries that gave absorb shields. Soul Rending is a joke now compared to what it was in Legion. I got killed in 1 second by the Darkness phase tick. Using DA, Demonic and Soul Rending I managed to survive the 1st Frostbolt phase, but only with like 40% HP. There's absolutely no way of making it through the first phase with a healthy level of HP to survive the Darkness phase, and you don't have enough interrupts and stuns to get through. Havoc had 28 times the sustain it has now in Shadowlands. Interrupt, defensives, self heal are your friends. Unless it's doing really unreasonable damage to the point where it basically one shots you, you're supposed to struggle against it. Comment by Shirofune on T04:00:00-06:00įrostbolt back then took out 30/35% of your lifepool. Far more broken spell interactions that certain specs could do like in the twins challenge bugging out karam so you can have higher raest uptime. Remember those rare times when you could get a command center buff too for the agatha fight or have the arcane circle from the blue whelps or prince farondis to push stuff to be easier.Īs for lightblood, using it was okay since we were in azsuna, however the cheese came from people unstacking the pots much like the tactic that people did for the exp pots in early 2019. Xylem needed NERFS to his spammable skills (Frostbolt), but ok.įrostbolt back then took out 30/35% of your lifepool. From the PTR, the Ancestral Knowledge shield was not too difficult to break, but this will hopefully reduce the overall fight length, especially when the boss uses Ancestral Knowledge with increased frequency towards the end of the encounter. The Ancestral Knowledge shield amount has been nerfed which makes it easier to break the shield when you don't have cooldowns, and the damage of Hurl Axe has been slightly nerfed, though this spell should be avoided. The Sigryn encounter received some slight tuning nerfs in today's hotfixes.
